The epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays crucial roles in the formation of body plan and also tumor invasion process. In addition, EMT causes disruption cell-cell adherence, loss apico-basal polarity, matrix remodeling, increased motility invasiveness promoting metastasis. microenvironment an important role facilitating cancer metastasis may induce occurrence cells. To estimate the distribution of lymphoid neoplasms in China, we conducted a comprehensive analysis, based on subtype, age, sex, and lesion, primary resected biopsy specimens 4,638 diagnosed from 2004 to 2008 at 5 large hospitals. Of patients, mature B-cell accounted for 64.3% all neoplasms, T/NK-cell 23.3%, Hodgkin lymphoma 8.6%. The most common subtype was diffuse (36.2%), followed by extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type (11.0%), classic (8.4%), marginal zone (7.7%), plasmacytic...

Hypoxia commonly exists in solid tumors. In this adverse condition, adaptive responses including autophagy are usually provoked to promote cell survival. our study, autophagy, a lysosomal-mediated degradation pathway, is demonstrated protective way make hepatocellular carcinoma cells be resistant chemotherapy under hypoxia. Compared with normoxia, chemotherapeutic agents-induced death hypoxia was significantly decreased, as result of the reduced apoptosis. However, when inhibited by 3-MA or...

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), which are modulated by cytokines present in the tumor microenvironment, play an important role progression. It is well documented that inflammation part of so we investigated whether stimulation MSCs inflammatory would contribute to their ability promote growth. We first showed could increase C26 colon cancer growth mice. This growth-promoting effect was further accelerated when were pre-stimulated factors IFN-γ and TNF-α. At same time, demonstrated both...

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have recently been proposed as a versatile class of molecules involved in regulation various biological processes. Although there is emerging evidence that some microRNAs can function oncogenes or tumor suppressors, the specific role miRNA human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) unclear at this point. In study, we examined microRNA expression profiles set 20 HCC specimens by microarray and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. The results showed among samples...

SIRT1, a NAD+ dependent class III deacetylase, takes part in many important biological processes. Previous studies show that SIRT1 is overexpressed some cancers and plays an essential role tumorigenesis. However, the association between colorectal cancer (CRC) still unclear. We found CRC specimens had strong expression, which obvious correlation with poor prognosis of patients. Meanwhile, expression co-localization CD133, current universal marker to characterize stem cells (CSCs). In vitro...

Colorectal cancer (CRC), which frequently metastasizes to the liver, is one of three leading causes cancer-related deaths worldwide. Growing evidence suggests that a subset cells exists among stem cells. This distinct subpopulation thought contribute liver metastasis; however, it has not been fully explored in CRC yet.Flow cytometry analysis was performed detect subsets with CD133 and CXCR4 markers human primary metastatic tissues.
