Microsporidian Nosema bombycis has received much attention because the pébrine disease of domesticated silkworms results in great economic losses silkworm industry. So far, no effective treatment could be found for pébrine. Compared to other known parasites, N. can unusually parasitize a broad range hosts. To gain some insights into underlying genetic mechanism pathological ability and host expansion this parasite, comparative genomic approach is conducted. The genome two antheraeae (an...
Abstract Arabidopsis thaliana transcriptomes have been extensively studied and characterized under different conditions. However, most of the current ‘RNA-sequencing’ technologies produce a relatively short read length demand reverse-transcription step, preventing effective characterization transcriptome complexity. Here, we performed Direct RNA Sequencing (DRS) using latest Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) with exceptional length. We demonstrate that complexity A. has substantially...
Knowledge of RNA molecules regulating testicular development and spermatogenesis in bulls is essential for elite bull selection an ideal breeding program. Herein, we performed direct sequencing (DRS) to explore the functional characterization produced testicles 9 healthy Simmental at three stages (prepuberty, puberty, postpuberty). We identified 5,043 differentially expressed genes associated with weight. These exhibited more alternative splicing sexual maturity, particularly 3' (A3) 5' (A5)...
Microcystins (MCs) are cyclic heptapeptide toxins and can accumulate in the liver. Cytochrome P450s (CYPs) play an important role biotransformation of endogenous substances xenobiotics animals. It is unclear if CYPs affected by MCs exposure. The objective this study was to evaluate effects microcystin-LR (MCLR) on cytochrome P450 isozymes (CYP1A1, CYP2E1, CYP3A11) at mRNA level, protein content, enzyme activity liver mice received daily, intraperitoneally, 2, 4, 8 µg/kg body weight MCLR for...
Biomarkers, including DNA methylation, have shown a great potential for use in personalized medicine BC and especially the diagnosis of developing countries. According to bisulfite sequencing PCR twelve specimens (BC matched normal tissues), nine genetic probes were designed detect frequency methylation promoters total 302 paired cases breast tissues. Finally, 900 serum samples used validate these biomarkers clinical BC. A high promoter SFN , HOXA11 P16 RARβ PCDHGB7 hMLH1 WNT5a HOXD13...
Three new flavonoids, 8-formyl-4'-hydroxy-7-methoxy-6-methylflavone (1), 8-formyl-4',7-dimethoxy-6-methylflavone (2), 4',6-dihydroxy-7-methoxy-8-methoxycarbonylflavone (3) together with two known flavonoids (4 and 5) were isolated from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum.Their structures determined by means HRESIMS extensive 1D 2D NMR spectroscopic studies.Compounds 1-3 tested for their anti-tobacco mosaic virus (anti-TMV) activities. The results showed that compounds exhibited
Abstract Background Recent progress in high-throughput technologies has greatly contributed to the development of DNA methylation profiling. Although there are several reports that describe methylome detection whole genome bisulfite sequencing, high cost and heavy demand on bioinformatics analysis prevents its extensive application. Thus, current strategies for study mammalian methylomes is still based primarily genome-wide methylated enrichment combined with microarray or sequencing....
A biomarker capable of clinically predicting hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) recurrence has not previously been established. Here genome‐wide differential methylation between primary and recurrent HCC cell lines (Hep‐11 Hep‐12) from the same patient was characterized. The samples two independent cohorts, complete with follow‐up data, were used to validate feasibility selected biomarkers in prognosis. array assay identified 30 candidate genes or intergenic‐fragments an absolute fold‐change...
Abstract The ultrastructure of a sample can be observed by electron microscopy (EM), which has become an indispensable research tool in morphological studies. However, EM preparation techniques are complicated and time‐consuming, with high labor cost. current study was conducted to compare the conventional manual automated methods for processing post‐staining microscopy. Automated reduces OsO 4 contamination, improves efficiency is easy use. Therefore, results their provide practical...
Two new flavones, siameflavones A and B (1 2), together with five known flavones (3-7) were isolated from the stem of Cassia siamea. Their structures elucidated by spectroscopic methods including extensive 1D 2D NMR techniques. Compounds 1-5 evaluated for their anti-tobacco mosaic virus (Anti-TMV) activity. The results showed that compounds weak anti-TMV activity inhibition rates in range 11.6-18.5%.
Two new triterpenoids, 3-O-(4',5'-dihydroxybenzoyl)-lup-20(29)-en (1) and 3-O-(6'-desmethysyringyl)-13α-methyl-27-norolean-14-en-3β-ol (2), were isolated from the leaves twigs of Orophea yunnanensis. Their structures identified by extensive spectroscopic experiments (NMR MS) comparison with literature data. Compounds 1 2 exhibited moderate inhibitory activity against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Ceratocystis fimbriata Verticillium dahliae Kleb MIC values 50 to 25 μg/mL, also displayed weak...
The characteristics of cytochrome b gene (Cytb) features in the mitochondrial DNA (mt DNA) from Penis et Testis Cervus nippon Temmink were explored, and a specific method was set up to identify bullwhip. mtDNA extracted Temmink. A pair allele-specific primers designed by primer design software. fragment with 306 bp amplified PCR Temmink, not Cytb fingerprinting showed specificity for identification could be used differentiate authentic deer-whip goods sold on markets.
