ABSTRACT Deceased donor kidney allocation relies on HLA compatibility at the antigen level, as optimal matching reduces risk of acute rejection. Whether allele‐level mismatches improve, prediction rejection after transplantation remains unclear. Using data from Australia and New Zealand Dialysis Transplant Registry (ANZDATA) 2017 to 2020, antigenic allelic between recipients deceased donors were calculated with imputation two‐field equivalents undertaken where required. The discordance...

The incidence and outcomes of kidney replacement therapy (KRT) have been well-studied in adults, but much less so children. This study aimed to investigate the epidemiology KRT children Australia New Zealand from 2000 2020.Children aged <18 years initiating between January 1, December 31, 2020 reported Dialysis Transplant Registry were included. Abstract Background Data on sex‐based disparities in children with kidney failure and outcomes after transplantation are relatively sparse. This study examined the association between sex differences odds of receiving a pre‐emptive living donor transplantation, post‐transplant adolescents. Methods We studied all patients (aged <20 years) who commenced replacement therapy (KRT) 2002 2017 using data from ANZDATA Registry. Factors associated graft loss acute rejection were assessed...

Vulnerable populations, such as the elderly, children, displaced people, and refugees, often encounter challenges in accessing healthcare. In this study, we used data from third iteration of International Society Nephrology Global Kidney Health Atlas (ISN-GKHA) to describe kidney care access delivery vulnerable populations across countries regions. Using an international survey clinicians, policymakers, patient advocates, assessed funding coverage on all aspects replacement therapies (KRT)....

Pre-emptive kidney transplantation (PreTx) is considered the ideal treatment for End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD). PreTx minimises dialysis-associated morbidity and mortality as well resulting in improved allograft survival. Rates of across transplanting units New Zealand now a quality improvement metric monitored by National Renal Transplant Service. This study aims to determine rates paediatric Zealand, identify barriers consider potential interventions/practice improvements influence future PreTx.
