Luminol and its derivatives are extensively used as chemiluminogenic substrates in bioimaging biochemical analysis. reagents can typically emit blue chemiluminescence (CL), whose wavelength is normally outside the most sensitive detection range of human naked eyes CL analyzers with silicon-based charge-coupled device (CCD) detectors. Development luminol analogues longer emission thus attractive. Herein, four new phthalhydrazide probes (GL-1/2/3/4) have been prepared through derivatization...

Aims: Acetaminophen (APAP) overdose leads to acute liver injury by inducing hepatic mitochondrial oxidative stress and inflammation. However, the molecular mechanisms involved are still unclear. Farnesoid X receptor (FXR) serves as a therapeutic target for treatment of disorders, whose activation has been proved protect APAP-induced hepatotoxicity. In this study, we examined whether FXR schaftoside (SS), naturally occurring flavonoid from Desmodium styracifolium, could mice against...

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive and irreversible interstitial disease with poor prognosis. The extract of Nervilia fordii (NFE) has shown remarkable benefit in the treatment acute lung injury, cancer, severe respiratory syndrome (SARS). However, potential mechanism efficacy NFE IPF remain unknown. In this study, systematic network pharmacology analysis was used to predict IPF, based on major components elucidated by UPLC-TOF-MS/MS. molecular interactions between...

Antioxidant activity is one of the important indexes for estimating medicinal value traditional Chinese medicine. The aim this study to investigate antioxidant 11 flavonoids mainly revealing luteolin as mother nucleus isolated from Pyrethrum tatsienense. The was measured in vitro using classical 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl removal method. percentages scavenging were analyzed by taking choice a-tocopherol positive drugs, and plotted against sample concentration obtain IC50 values.Ten...

Activation of the human pregnane X receptor (PXR; NR1I2) has potential therapeutic uses for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Imperatorin (IMP), a naturally occurring coumarin, is main bioactive ingredient Angelica dahurica Radix, which regularly used to treat common cold and intestinal disorders. However, there are no data on protective effects IMP against IBD.

Abstract Introduction Coumarin and alkaloids are the major bioactive constituents of Toddalia asiatica , playing an important role in various biological activities such as anti‐inflammatory, analgesic, anti‐bacterial anti‐tumour. Objective To establish a method that will simultaneously determine coumarins compounds T. identify their characteristic fragmentation patterns, while combining fingerprints chemical identification with chemometrics for discrimination quality assessment samples....

The correlation of bile acid (BA) metabolism disorder with the pathogenesis ulcerative colitis (UC) is realized nowadays. Farnesoid X receptor (FXR), a controller for BA homeostasis and inflammation, promising target UC therapy. Nigakinone has potential therapeutic effects on colitis. Herein, we investigated anti-UC mechanism nigakinone in colitic animals induced by dextran sulfate sodium (DSS). related targets involved nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain, leucine-rich repeat, pyrin...

Morphine withdrawal triggers a range of negative affective states, wherein anxiety is typically common, significantly contributing to the morphine relapse. To date, exact mechanism underlying withdrawal–induced has remained unclear. Previous studies have proposed that autophagy involved in pathogenesis addiction and anxiety; however, possible relationship between not been explored before. In this study, we aimed reveal potential role anxiety-like behaviors elicited by protracted withdrawal,...

Five new flavan-4-ol glycosides, abacopterins E–I (5–9), and seven known flavonoid glycosides (3 10–15) were isolated from the aerial parts of fern Abacopteris penangiana. Their structures elucidated on basis extensive spectroscopic analysis, including HSQC, HMBC, 1H–1H COSY, ROESY, chemical evidence. The evaluated for their antioxidant activity using TEAC assay, compounds 3, 5–8, 10, 11, 14, 15 showed values 1.03–1.91 mM.
