Keep hepatocytes fresh Freshly isolated primary human (PHHs) quickly lose their identity and function in vitro, limiting application modeling infectious liver diseases screening drugs. Xiang et al. describe a simple effective five-chemical culture condition that can maintain the mature of cultured PHHs for an extended period time. this way support entire viral life cycle recapitulate long-term infection hepatitis B virus. This system created useful drug-screening platform developing new...
Intermediate frequency resistance spot welding has been adopted to join dissimilar materials of H220YD galvanised high strength steel and 6008 aluminium alloy. The effects current time on microstructures mechanical properties the welded joints were investigated. A thin intermetallic compound layer composed Fe 2 Al 5 phase 4 13 formed at steel/aluminium interface. interfacial higher nanohardness compared with alloy nugget steel. With increasing (4–11 kA) (50–300 ms), diameter increased,...
Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming, which is, however, hindered incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy mimicking the natural regeneration route, permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into progenitor-like (hHPLCs), could robustly expand in vitro efficiently engraft vivo....
Effects of welding parameters on spot welded magnesium alloy joints have been investigated. With increasing time, the weld nugget diameter increased and microstructure became coarser. The joint strength (shear load at failure) 2930–3050 N was obtained when time longer than six cycles. Increasing currents from 15 to 23 kA resulted in an increase due diameter. In range 1˙5–4˙5 kN electrode force, lowering force favours improving strength, but too low (1˙5 kN) easily causes metal expulsion. two...
Nowadays, studies of high entropy alloys (HEAs) have shown excellent properties. To improve the high-temperature wear resistance CrMnFeCoNi alloy, refractory carbides (NbC and ZrC, respectively) reinforced composite coating were prepared by laser cladding (LC), its performance was investigated. The showed no cracks or other defects that had metallurgical bonding with substrate. Those coatings exhibited oxidative adhesive mechanisms in reciprocating tests at 600°C. In contrast to...
Mechanism of electrode degradation in resistance spot welding (RSW) magnesium alloy has been investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectrum (EDS). The results show that experienced mainly four basic steps (i.e. pickup, alloying with magnesium, tip face pitting, cavitation). Magnesium pickup began from the first weld as tiny drops molten were transferred sheet surface to face. A complex layer (Cu2Mg CuMg2) was formed by reacting electrode. Electrode...
Human memory is commonly understood as the storage and retrieval of records information. Knowledge stored schemata that consist explicitly representations objects. Remembering retrieving representations; understanding mapping representations. By contrast, Rosenfield argues best a process perceiving behaving. Memory does not directly reflect past information, but selects reconstructions appropriate to situation in which recollection taking place. In this paper author presents some major...
In the present study, laser melting deposition (LMD) technology was adopted to fabricate FeCoCrNiMn and FeCoCrNiMnAl 0.75 high entropy alloys (HEAs). Then, welding method used join HEAs in forms of similar (FeCoCrNiMnAl/FeCoCrNiMnAl FeCoCrNiMnAl0.75/FeCoCrNiMnAl0.75) dissimilar (FeCoCrNiMnAl0/FeCoCrNiMnAl0.75) combinations, respectively. Ultra-depth field microscope electron backscatter diffraction detection were observe macro-morphology microstructure, It found that width weld bead...
The mechanical properties and corrosion behaviors of the casting Al-Cu alloys were investigated. proportion two modifiers (PrxOy LaxOy) has effects on electrochemical behavior alloy. ultimate true tensile strength alloy modified only by LaxOy is highest (616.0 MPa). fracture strain PrxOy (12.3%). better resistance than any other prominent should be attributed to finer crystal grains more homogeneously distributed nano-scale phase precipitates. existence continuous compact protective Al2O3...
