Given the importance of aggregation advanced glycation end products (AGEs) and cardiac inflammation in onset progression diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM), our objective this study was to demonstrate cardioprotective effect mangiferin, an antidiabetic anti-inflammatory agent, on rat model. The DCM model established by a high-fat diet low dose streptozotocin. rats were treated orally with mangiferin (20 mg/kg) for 16 weeks. Serum left ventricular myocardium collected determination inflammatory...
Intestinal mucositis causes great suffering to cancer patients who undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Owing the uncertain side effects of anticancer drugs attenuate patients' intestinal mucositis, many studies focused on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Patchouli alcohol (PA) is an active compound extracted from Pogostemon cablin, has potent gastrointestinal protective effect. However, whether PA effect still unknown. Therefore, we established a rat model via intraperitoneal injection...
Dysfunction of the glymphatic system in brain different stages altered glucose metabolism and its influencing factors are not well characterized.
Millettiae speciosae Champ. Leguminosae (MSC), is a well-known Chinese herb traditionally used as food material and medicine for enhancing physical strength. Our preliminary study found that the aqueous extract of this (MSE) had an anti-fatigue effect. In paper, we further separated MSE into total polysaccharides (MSP) supernatant (MSS) by alcohol precipitation, explored which fraction was active its Mice were orally administered with MSP or MSS at doses 200, 400, 800 mg/kg 20 days effect...
Abstract Pogostemonis Herba is a functional food approved in Asian countries. Its major constituent, patchouli alcohol (PA), possesses gastroprotective effect and reported to transform into β-patchoulene (β-PAE) under acidic conditions. To investigate whether β-PAE, the metabolite of PA, has protective on gastrointestinal tract, formation β-PAE by gastric juice anti-ulcerogenic potential against ethanol-induced injury were evaluated. The Results indicated that PA was converted rat juice....
Curcumin (CUR), a widely used food additive, is derived mainly fromCurcumaspecies that has been applied traditionally for treating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Polydatin protects against acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity in mice.
Bleomycin (BLM), a family of anti-tumor drugs, was reported to exhibit severe side effects limiting its usage in clinical treatment. Therefore, finding adjuvants that enhance the effect and reduce detrimental BLM is prerequisite. Chrysanthemum indicum, an edible flower, possesses abundant bioactivities; supercritical-carbon dioxide fluid extract from flowers buds C. indicum (CISCFE) have strong anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, lung protective effects. However, role CISCFE combined with...
According to the GC-MS analysis, compositional variation was observed between samples of patchouli oil, which an unknown compound identified as patchoulene epoxide (PAO) found only in long-stored whose biological activity still remains unknown. Therefore, present study aimed evaluate potential anti-inflammatory with three vivo inflammatory models: xylene-induced ear edema, acetic acid-induced vascular permeability, and carrageenan-induced paw edema. Further investigation into its underlying...
Brucea javanica is an important Chinese folk medicine traditionally used for the treatment of dysentery (also known as inflammatory bowel diseases). oil emulsion (BJOE), most common preparation javanica, has a variety pharmacological activities. In this follow-up investigation, we endeavored to illuminate potential benefit BJOE on 2, 4, 6-trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced Crohn's disease (CD) in rats and decipher mechanism action. The result illustrated that significantly reduced...
Excessive alcohol consumption can cause serious hepatic injury which is associated with oxidative stress and fatty metabolic disturbance.
Pachymic acid (Pac), a major bioactive constituent of Poria cocos, is an antioxidant that inhibits triglyceride (TG) accumulation. To the best our knowledge, present study investigated for first time whether Pac activated sirtuin 6 (SIRT6) signaling to alleviate oleic (OA)-palmitic (PA)-induced lipid metabolism disorders in mouse primary hepatocytes (MPHs). In study, MPHs challenged with were used test effects on intracellular metabolism. Molecular docking studies performed explore potential...
Piezoelectric atomization, which breaks liquid into tiny droplets, is widely used in aerospace, medicine, and health. Most research piezoelectric atomizers has increased the atomization amount by improving mechanical structure optimizing vibration characteristics. However, as core component of atomizer to realize using dynamic conical angle effect, micro-tapered hole on atomizing sheet not been deeply studied. To eliminate negative influence uneven burr caused machining process sheet,...
β-Patchoulene (β-PAE) is a tricyclic sesquiterpene isolated from patchouli oil. According to our previous study, β-PAE has anti-inflammatory activity in vivo; however, its response still remains unconfirmed vitro. Therefore, this study committed demonstrate the effect of on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages. results, pre-treatment with significantly decreased protein and messenger RNA (mRNA) levels pro-inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α),...
Clerodendranthus spicatus (Thunb.) C.Y.Wu (CS) is commonly used to treat kidney diseases in traditional Chinese medicine for its prominent anti-inflammatory effect and nourishing function kidneys. In this study, aqueous extract of CS was assessed protective on UV-induced skin damage mice. The chemical compositions were determined by HPLC-ESI-MS/MS, which 10 components identified. During the experimental period, (0.9, 1.8, 3.6 g/mL) externally applied shaved dorsal skins mice prior UV...
Dynamic mesh atomizers have been widely used in various fields because of their compact structure, low energy consumption, and production costs. The finite element method is an important technique to analyze the factors affecting atomization performance dynamic atomizers. However, at present, there a lack decisive solutions basic problems boundary setting terms simulation vibration displacement characteristics under different modes. In this paper, two errors were found Vibration Analysis...
Abstract We report a rare case of tetralogy Fallot associated with anomalous origin the left pulmonary artery from aorta and aortopulmonary window. Successful one-stage total correction was performed under cardiopulmonary bypass, including implantation artery, repair window, Fallot. The patient experienced an uneventful postoperative course asymptomatic at one-year follow-up. (J Card Surg 2012;27;:112–114)
