Bacillus utilize preferred sugars such as glucose over other carbon sources due to catabolite repression (CCR). Surfactin is a small signal molecule regulate the quorum-sensing (QS) response biofilm formation and sporulation in B. subtilis. Here, srfA operon for synthesis of surfactin was mutated disrupting production amyloliquefaciens. The srfA-mutant strain showed defective but could be restored by addition with surfactin, indicating that QS Unexpectedly, mutation also led cells' death...

Background/Aims: Cholestatic liver diseases including primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) are associated with active hepatic fibrogenesis, which ultimately progresses to cirrhosis. Activated stellate cells (HSCs) the main fibrogenic effectors in response cholangiocyte damage. JCAD regulates cell proliferation and malignant transformation nonalcoholic steatoheaptitis-associated hepatocellular carcinoma (NASH-HCC). However, its participation cholestatic fibrosis has not been explored...

Abstract Multidrug resistance is one of the reasons for low survival advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Our previous studies indicate that hedgehog signalling involved in hepatic carcinogenesis, metastasis and chemo‐resistance. The present study aims to uncover molecular mechanisms underlying hepatoma TAP1 GLI1/2 gene expression was assessed both poorly differentiated cells HCC specimens. Potential GLI‐binding site promoter sequence validated by assays. Approximately 75% specimens...

Abstract Background and aims Liver regeneration retardation post partial hepatectomy (PH) is a common clinical problem after liver transplantation. Identification of key regulators in PH may be beneficial for clinically improving the prognosis patients This study aimed to clarify function junctional protein‐associated with coronary artery disease (JCAD) reveal underlying mechanisms. Methods JCAD knockout (JCAD‐KO), liver‐specific JCAD‐KO ( Jcad △Hep ) mice their control group were subjected...

Abstract Beneficial microorganisms can protect crop from phytopathogens, and modify rhizosphere microbiome. However, it is not well-understood whether or how do which respond to bioagents contribute disease suppression. Bacillus velezensis BER1 tomato bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum were selected as models disentangle the interactions mechanisms in rhizosphere. greatly suppressed over 49.0%, reduced R. colonization 36.3%, significantly enriched two Flavobacterium ASVs (1357...

Background: Hepatic fibrosis is a premalignant lesion, and how injured hepatocytes transform into malignancy in fibrotic microenvironment poorly understood. Senescence one of major fates activated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs). Paucity literature available regarding the influence senescent HSCs on behavior steatotic hepatocytes. Methods: Senescent were identified murine model nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)-fibrosis-hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) human NASH-HCC specimens. Secretome was...

Abstract Dysbiosis of gut microbiota may account for pathobiology in simple fatty liver (SFL), metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH), fibrotic progression, and transformation to MASH‐associated hepatocellular carcinoma (MASH‐HCC). The aim the present study is investigate dysbiosis this progression. Fecal microbial rRNA‐16S sequencing, absolute quantification, histopathologic, biochemical tests were performed mice fed high fat/calorie diet plus fructose glucose drinking...

Compost is frequently served as the first reservoir for plants to recruit rhizosphere microbiome when used growing substrate in seedling nursery. In present study, recruitment of from two composts by tomato, pepper, or maize was addressed shotgun metagenomics and 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing. The sequencing analysis showed that 41% variation bacterial community explained compost, contrast 23% plant species. Proteobacterial genera were commonly recruited all three species with specific...

Temperature dependence on electrical characteristics of a Ni∕Au–Al0.45Ga0.55N Schottky photodiode is investigated in temperature range 198–323K. The ideality factor decreases from 2.57 to 1.75, while the barrier height increases 0.75to1.14eV this range. ln(I)-V curves at small forward current are intersectant 273, 298, and 323K almost parallel 198, 223, 248K. This crossing an inherent property diodes, can be well explained by thermionic field emission theory.

Capacitance-voltage and capacitance-frequency characteristics of Al0.42Ga0.58N∕Al0.40Ga0.60N heterojunction p-i-n photodiode are investigated. The slopes the 1∕C2-V plot were nearly same at 100Hz, 1KHz, 10KHz, 100KHz, slightly smaller 1MHz. A depletion region width 63.6nm calculated under zero bias for this diode was than that intrinsic region, which showed depleted partly bias. difference between capacitance measured low high frequencies could be due to resistivity region.
