There were limited data on the long-term outcome of patients with symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis ≥70% after Wingspan stenting. Using our cohort and from Warfarin Aspirin for Symptomatic Intracranial Atherosclerotic Disease (WASID) as a historical control, we tested hypothesis that stenting provided no benefit over antithrombotic therapy alone these high-risk patients.Between January 2007 February 2009, 100 consecutive symptoms within 90 days enrolled into this prospective...

ABSTRACT Aim Strokes are the second most common cause of mortality and disability worldwide. Ischemic strokes account for main part strokes. Recently, epigenetic changes that occur during biological aging through DNA methylation have gained attention. The National Institutes Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores measure physical cognitive function. We hypothesized there associations between acute in NIHSS score patients with ischemic stroke. conducted clock analyses to investigate association...

Abstract Ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is an important cause of adverse prognosis after recanalization in patients with acute occlusion major intracranial artery (AOMIA). Here, we provided data indicating that gradual flow restoration (GFR) would be superior to rapid (RFR) alleviating cerebral IRIs middle (MCAO) rats. A total 94 MCAO rats 15, 30 and 60-minute were randomly assigned receive either GFR or RFR intervention. There significant differences between group mean neurological...

Abstract The corresponding hemodynamic changes of the internal carotid artery (ICA) after revascularization surgery for moyamoya disease (MMD) remain unclear. aim this study was to analyze ipsilateral ICA combined direct and indirect extracranial-intracranial (EC-IC) bypass. MMD patients undergoing EC-IC bypass were retrospectively reviewed. mean transit time (MTT) evaluated by color-coding angiography before at follow-up. Seventy-nine consecutive patients with symptomatic atherosclerotic stenosis ≥ 50% of intracranial vertebrobasilar artery (VBA) were treated by elective stenting. There five strokes within 30 days, and three in the VBA territory after days (mean 812 days). The annual stroke rate (including any death days) was 4.6%. At last follow-up time, 73 independent (modified Rankin scale grade ≤ 2). outcome compares favorably medical therapy.

Neural crest defects lead to congenital heart disease involving outflow tract malformation. Integrin-linked-kinase (ILK) plays important roles in multiple cellular processes and embryogenesis. Abstract Background and purpose: Analysis of dynamic cerebral autoregulation during transient falls in blood pressure is considered a sensitive convenient method for evaluating patients with carotid artery stenosis. To this point, there have been few reports on the efficacy using thigh cuffs technique to analyse middle (MCA) If it could be determined whether flow can maintained (autoregulated) sudden arterial (ABP), then might possible identify MCA stenosis who are at risk stroke.
