In the current medical era, spirooxindole motif stands out as a privileged heterospirocyclic scaffold that represents core for wide range of bioactive naturally isolated products (such Strychnofoline and spirotryprostatins A B) synthetic compounds. Interestingly, no much attention has been paid to develop derivatives with dual antioxidant anticancer activities. this context, series spirooxindoles 6a-p was examined their effect towards HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma PC-3 prostate cancer cell...
Several food-poisoning outbreaks have been attributed to Clostridium perfringens (C. perfringens) worldwide. Despite that, this crisis was discussed in a few studies, and additional studies are urgently needed field. Therefore, we sought highlight the prevalence, antimicrobial resistance, toxin profiles, toxinotypes of C. isolates. In study, 50 isolates obtained from 450 different animal origin samples (beef, chicken meat, raw milk) were identified by phenotypic genotypic methods. The...
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a major pathogen associated with severe morbidity and mortality poses significant threat to public health worldwide. The genetic diversity based on sequence types of MRSA strains was illustrated in previous studies; meanwhile, the along predominant type, especially Egypt, remains unknown. purpose current study determine clone ST239-MRSA (n = 50) isolated from different hosts clinical samples illustrate correlation between resistance...
A new series of 2-aminobenzothiazole hybrids linked to thiazolidine-2,4-dione 4a-e, 1,3,4-thiadiazole aryl urea 6a-d, and cyanothiouracil moieties 8a-d was synthesised. The in vitro antitumor effect the assessed against three cancer cell lines, namely, HCT-116, HEPG-2, MCF-7 using Sorafenib (SOR) as a standard drug. Among tested compounds, 4a most potent showing IC50 5.61, 7.92, 3.84 µM, respectively. Furthermore, compounds 4e 8a proved have strong impact on breast line with 6.11 10.86...
As a continuation for our previous work, novel set of N-alkylindole-isatin conjugates (7, 8a–c, 9 and 10a–e) is here designed synthesised with the prime aim to develop more efficient isatin-based antitumor candidates. Utilising SAR outputs from study, design based on appending four alkyl groups different length (ethyl n-propyl), bulkiness (iso-propyl) unsaturation (allyl) N-1 indole motif, subsequent conjugation N-unsubstituted isatin moieties furnish target conjugates. planned, adopted...
Pursuing our effort for developing effective inhibitors of the cancer-related hCA IX isoform, here we describe synthesis novel benzofuran-based carboxylic acid derivatives, featuring benzoic (9a–f) or hippuric (11a,b) moieties linked to 2-methylbenzofuran 5-bromobenzofuran tails via an ureido linker. The target acids were evaluated potential inhibitory action against hCAs I, II, IX, and XII. Superiorly, benzofuran-containing derivatives 9b, 9e, 9f acted as submicromolar with KIs = 0.91,...
SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), a novel coronavirus causing life-threatening pneumonia, caused pandemic starting in 2019 and unprecedented economic health crises all over the globe. This requires rapid discovery of anti-SARS-CoV-2 drug candidates to overcome this pandemic. Strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch.) ginger (Zingiber officinale) methanolic extracts were used for silver nanoparticle (AgNPs) synthesis explore their inhibitory potential. Moreover, an silico study was performed possible chemical...
This study explored the in vivo wound healing potential of Vitis vinifera seed extract using an excision model with focus on molecular targets including TGFBR1, VEGF, TNF-α, and IL-1β. The results revealed that V. enhanced closure rates (p < 0.001), elevated TGF-β VEGF levels, significantly downregulated TNF-α IL-1β levels comparison to Mebo®-treated group. phenotypical were supported by biochemical histopathological findings. Phytochemical investigation yielded a total 36 compounds...
In recent times, resistant foodborne pathogens, especially of the Campylobacter species, have created several global crises. These crises been compounded due to evolution multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacterial pathogens and emergence extensively drug-resistant (XDR) pan-drug-resistant (PDR) strains. Therefore, this study aimed investigate development resistance existence both XDR PDR among isolates. Moreover, we explored use polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism...
To identify the metabolites produced by endophytic fungus, Aspergillus terreus and to explore anti-viral activity of identified against pandemic disease COVID-19 in-silico.Herein, we reported isolation A. terreus, fungus associated with soybean roots, which is then subcultured using OSMAC approach in five different culture media. Analytical analysis media ethylacetate extracts liquid chromatography coupled high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) was carried out. Furthermore, obtained...
Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibition is an imperative therapeutic approach targeting various types of cancer including colorectal, lung, breast, and pancreatic types. Moreover, cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) frequently overexpressed in different cancers has a role the promotion malignancy, apoptosis inhibition, metastasis tumor cells. Combination therapy been emerged to improve benefit against curb intrinsic acquired resistance.Three semi-synthetic series compounds (C1-4, P1-4, G1-4)...
Abstract: The current study investigated the effects of Olea europaea L. cv. Nepal (OEN) leaf extract on obesity‐related disorders in rabbits. OEN extract, dose 100 mg/kg body weight, significantly reduced cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TAG), and inflammatory markers (MCP‐1, VCAM‐1, IL‐6, IL‐1β, TNFα, NF‐κB) both preventative treatment groups. Additionally, heart tissue displayed near‐normal collagen fiber distribution. LC‐HRESIMS analysis tentatively identified 20 metabolites (1‐20) OEN,...
