Living related liver transplantation (LRLT) may not be the only treatment for recurrent bleeding due to severe gastric varices secondary left-side portal hypertension and splenic vein thrombosis. Splenectomy is preferred long-term standard non-orthotopic patients, but additional treatments such as post-transplantation partial arterial embolization preserve immunological function of spleen thus prevent occurrence post LRLT infection are suggested these patients.

A recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) is one the major concerns reflecting higher mortality HCC. This study aimed to explore impact circulating exosomes on HCC development and recurrence. One-shot transfusion hepatoma serum naïve rats induced cancer with gradual elevation alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), but exosome-free failed induce AFP elevation. The microarray analysis revealed miR-92b as highly expressing microribonucleic acids in...

The gut microbiota plays a role in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), but data about dysbiosis Asians with NAFLD remains scarce. We analyzed the differences fecal between adults and without NAFLD. This cross-sectional study examined histology-proven (25 (NAFL) patients, 25 steatohepatitis (NASH) living donors (healthy controls)). taxonomic composition of was determined by 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing stool samples. NAFL NASH groups showed lower total bacterial diversity richness...

The traditional technologies for industrial and agricultural effluent treatment are often energy-intensive. Herein, we suggest an electrochemical redox strategy spontaneous simultaneous decontamination of wastewater generation both fuels electricity at low cost. Using hydrazine nitrate effluents as a demonstration, propose hydrazine-nitrate flow battery (HNFB) that can efficiently purify the meanwhile generate ammonia fuel with assistance our developed bimetallic RuCo precatalyst....

Electrically conductive metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been extensively studied for their potential uses in energy-related technologies and sensors. However, achieving that goal requires MOFs to be highly stable maintain conductivity under practical operating conditions with varying solution environments temperatures. Herein, we designed synthesized a new series of {[Ln4(μ4-O)(μ3-OH)3(INA)3(GA)3](CF3SO3)(H2O)6}n (denoted as Ln4-MOFs, Ln = Gd, Tm, Lu, INA isonicotinic acid, GA glycolic...

Early allograft dysfunction (EAD) affects outcomes in liver transplantation (LT). Existing risk models developed for deceased-donor LT depend on posttransplant factors and fall short living-donor (LDLT), where pretransplant evaluations are crucial preventing EAD justifying the donor's risks. This retrospective study analyzed data from 2944 adult patients who underwent LDLT at 17 centers between 2016 2020. We a logistic regression model to predict based this development cohort. used 1020 King...

However, extent of hepatectomy is still a subject debate and main considerations decision making are functional adequacy safety. An algorithm based on donor-recipient body weight ratio, lobe-to-recipient standard volume estimate, venous anatomy was used to decide hepatectomy....
