Objectives To estimate the effectiveness of endoscopic screening programme in reducing incidence and mortality upper gastrointestinal cancer high risks areas China. Design This multicentre population-based cohort study was conducted six China from 2005 to 2015. All permanent residents aged 40 69 years were identified as target subjects. We refer those who invited for collectively group. Of these, we classify undertook screened group but did not accept non-screened Target subjects assigned...
Limited evidence exists on the combined and mediating effects of systemic inflammation association between insulin resistance cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes chronic coronary syndrome (CCS). This secondary analysis a multicenter prospective cohort included 4419 diabetic CCS patients. Triglyceride–glucose index (TyG) high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) were applied to evaluate inflammation, respectively. The primary endpoint was major adverse cardiac event (MACE)....
Most lung cancer patients are diagnosed after the onset of symptoms. However, whether symptoms were independently associated with diagnosis is unknown, especially in Chinese population.
Heart failure (HF), which is the terminal stage of many cardiovascular diseases, associated with low survival rates and a severe financial burden. The mechanisms, especially molecular mechanism combined new theories, underlying pathogenesis HF remain elusive. We demonstrate that phosphorylation-regulated dynamic liquid-liquid phase separation HIP-55 (hematopoietic progenitor kinase 1-interacting protein 55 kDa) protects against HF. Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching assay,...
Abstract Background A new lower-cost rapid-throughput human papillomavirus (HPV) test ( care HPV, Qiagen, Gaithersburg, USA) has been shown to have high sensitivity for the detection of grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Methods We assessed outcomes and cost-effectiveness HPV screening in rural China, compared visual inspection with acetic acid, when used alone (VIA) or combination Lugol's iodine (VIA/VILI). Using data on sexual behaviour, accuracy, diagnostic practices costs from...
Abstract Background Stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR), a novel biomarker of stress hyperglycemia, was proved to be reliable predictor short‐term adverse outcomes in patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS). However, its impact on long‐term prognosis remained controversial. Methods A total 7662 ACS from large nationwide prospective cohort between January 2015 and May 2019 were included. SHR calculated by the following formula: = admission glucose (mmol/L)/(1.59 × HbA1c [%]−2.59). The...
Abstract Background Despite research efforts, the causative factors that contribute to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) in high-risk areas have not yet been understood. In this study, we, therefore, aimed describe risk associated with ESCC and its precursor lesions. Methods We performed an endoscopic examination of 44,857 individuals aged 40–69 years from five high incidence regions China 2017–2018. Participants were classified as 4 groups normal control, esophagitis, low-grade...
Abstract Background The triglyceride–glucose (TyG) index and high‐sensitivity C‐reactive protein (hsCRP) are the commonly used biomarkers for insulin resistance systemic inflammation, respectively. We aimed to investigate combined association of TyG hsCRP with major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients chronic coronary syndrome (CCS). Methods A total 9421 CCS were included this study. primary endpoint was defined as a composite MACE covering all‐cause death, nonfatal myocardial...
As embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (ESC-CMs) have the potential to be used in cell replacement therapy, an understanding of signaling mechanisms that regulate their terminal differentiation is imperative. In previous studies, we discovered presence adrenergic and muscarinic receptors mouse cells (ESCs). However, little known about role these cardiac development, which critically important physiology pharmacology. Here, demonstrated a β-adrenergic receptor (β-AR) agonist...
Abstract There is inconsistent evidence of associations between socioeconomic status ( SES ) and lung cancer stage in non‐Chinese populations up to now. We set out determine how affects at diagnosis both individual area levels, from a hospital‐based multicenter 10‐year (2005–2014) retrospective clinical epidemiological study 7184 primary patients mainland China. Individual‐level data were measured based on two indicators case report forms the study: an individual's education occupation....
The aim of this study was to determine the prognostic value YKL-40 expression in patients undergoing curative resection pancreatic cancer. This cohort included 234 consecutive with ductal adenocarcinoma who underwent resection. Surgical specimens were immunohistochemically assessed for expression. Kaplan-Meier method and Cox regression used evaluate impact A multivariate logistic model performed examine correlation between tumor stage.Of patients, overexpression detected 149 (63.7%) patients....
HPV‐16 and −18 account for about 80% of cervical cancers. We evaluated the performance HPV‐16/18 oncoprotein to predict precancer cancer in corresponding tissue biopsy specimens. 1,008 women attending screening program 638 referred colposcopy with biopsy‐confirmed intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 or worse (CIN2+) from 4 hospitals were recruited (1,646 total). All tested Onco E6 (AVC), Liquid‐Based Cytology (Hologic) cobas HPV test (Roche). Colposcopy was performed on any abnormal results....
Endothelial microparticle (EMP) is a biomarker for endothelial dysfunction. The aim of this study to investigate the utility EMP in evaluating coronary intermediate lesions. Participants included 49 patients with lesions and 24 subjects normal arteries. Among these subjects, 28 accepted fractional flow reserve (FFR). Results showed that level was significantly higher lesion group. No correlation found between FFR value, suggesting circulating systemic marker rather than focal one.
To evaluate the correlation between TIMI frame count, IMR, and CFR in coronary microvascular disease (slow flow phenomenon). TFC IMR were recorded nitroglycerin ATP administration states, relationship TFC, specific states was analyzed. A total of 41 patients with baseline >25 frames on angiography enrolled, reduced by 50% from 24 (58.54%) patients; 16 remaining 17 able to achieve a reduction further intracoronary injection. 10 tested for results showed significant correlations (r = 0.775,...
This study sought to investigate the prevalence and prognostic significance of malnutrition in patients with an abnormal glycemic status coronary artery disease (CAD). secondary analysis a multicenter prospective cohort included 5710 CAD prediabetes 9328 diabetes. Four objective tools were applied assess nutritional population. The primary endpoint was all-cause death. association clinical outcomes examined using Cox proportional hazards regression. proportion varied from 8% 57% across...
Abstract Women with positive high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) need efficient triage testing to determine colposcopy referrals. Triage strategies of combining p16/Ki-67 extended HPV genotyping were evaluated in this study. In total, 899 women attending cervical cancer screening program and 858 referred from five hospitals recruited. All the participants tested by assays dual staining. Colposcopy biopsy performed on any abnormal results. genotypes divided into four strata (HPV16/18,...
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is characterized by inflammatory process and endothelial dysfunction. To investigate angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) profiles, we evaluated serum Ang-2 levels in different types of CHD 166 subjects. was measured enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Serum were significantly elevated patients with gradually increased advance CHD. positively correlated Gensini scores hs-CRP. might have potential implication detecting monitoring the progression
Background Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of death in China. Percutaneous coronary intervention a recent milestone technology for treatment disease. However, clinical decision making patients with intermediate stenosis still controversial. We designed this study to assess optimal intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) criteria predicting functional significance lesions. Methods enrolled 141 165 lesions located vessels diameter ≥ 2.50 mm. IVUS were performed before intervention....
