Activation of an osteogenic transcriptional program contributes to the initiation aortic calcification in atherosclerosis. The role microRNAs regulating is understudied. We tested hypothesis that miR-30e regulates bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), smooth muscle (SMCs), and ApoE 2/2 mice. Methods resultsIn aortas wild-type mice, we found highly expressed medial SMCs.In old transcripts are down-regulated inverse relation markers Runx2, Opn, Igf2.In vitro, over-expression reduced...

Cardiac myocyte hypertrophy, the main compensatory response to chronic stress in heart often progresses a state of decompensation that can lead failure. Osteopontin (OPN) is an effector for extracellular signalling induces growth and fibrosis. Although increased OPN activity has been observed stressed myocytes fibroblasts, detailed long term effects blocking on remain poorly defined. Targeting cardiac protein by RNA aptamer may be beneficial tuning down pathologic signalling. We aimed...

Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), the subtype of head and neck cancers, is notorious for its high incidence death rate. BACKGROUND: Patients with severe aortic stenosis, undergoing transcatheter valve replacement (TAVR), are more likely to develop thrombotic complications. However, the definite mechanisms underlying hypercoagulation state remain unclear date. Our objectives were explore whether and how neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) play a procoagulant role in patients after TAVR alone or percutaneous coronary intervention within 1 year further evaluate their interactions platelets endothelial cells....

Vascular remodeling, that contributes to cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension develops by anomalous proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). Cortistatin (CST), a newly discovered biological peptide, has been acknowledged for its protective effects against diseases. Whether CST an inhibitory regulation role in angiotensin II (Ang II)-induced VSMCs what molecular mechanisms may participate the inhibition process are still unknown.VSMCs were divided into...

Abstract B 4 C ceramics were prepared by conventional hot pressing (HP) and oscillatory (HOP). The results show that at the temperature pressure studied here, main densification mechanism of HP is grain‐boundary sliding, whereas HOP plastic deformation caused dislocation gliding, indicating promoted material. hardness reaches 39.5 GPa, which much higher than sample HP. current study suggests promising for preparing high‐performance ceramics.

Essential hypertension (EH) patients suffer from paradoxically thrombotic rather than haemorrhagic, although the exact mechanism remains elusive. Our aim is to explore whether and how neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) play procoagulant role in EH patients, as well evaluated NET releasing were triggered by inflammatory cytokines. The concentration of plasma NETs components detected ELISA. The morphology cells formation analysed using immunofluorescence. Procoagulant activity was clotting...

In recent years, image generation technology has rapidly advanced, resulting in the creation of a vast array AI-generated images (AIGIs). However, quality these AIGIs is highly inconsistent, with low-quality severely impairing visual experience users. Due to widespread application AIGIs, assessment (AIGIQA), aimed at evaluating from perspective human perception, garnered increasing interest among scholars. Nonetheless, current research not yet fully explored this field. We have observed that...

Deformable image registration (DIR) is a fundamental task in radiotherapy, with existing methods often struggling to balance computational efficiency, accuracy, and speed effectively. We introduce novel DIR approach employing parametric 3D Gaussian control points achieving better tradeoff. It provides an explicit flexible representation for spatial deformation fields between volumetric medical images, producing displacement vector field (DVF) across all positions. The movement of individual...
