BACKGROUND Multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) represents a diagnostic challenge because of its overlap with Kawasaki disease, disease shock syndrome, and toxic syndrome. Macrophage activation (MAS) is frequently fatal complication various pediatric disorders has been reported in MIS-C. Objective: To characterize the clinical presentation and outcomes of Kawasaki disease (KD) in infants 10 days (50% vs 7.4%, P = 0.043). Conclusion: Our data show that despite treatment first illness, < 6 months age Latin America have a higher risk developing coronary artery aneurysm. Delay diagnosis leads to larger aneurysms disproportionately these infants. Thus, suspicion for KD should be high this vulnerable population.

Rheumatic diseases in children are associated with significant morbidity andpoor health-related quality of life (HRQOL). There is no health-relatedquality (HRQOL) scale available specifically for lesscommon rheumatic diseases. These share several features withsystemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) such as their chronic episodic nature,multi-systemic involvement, and the need immunosuppressive medications.HRQOL developed pediatric SLE will likely be applicable tochildren systemic inflammatory We...
