Abstract We determined the associations of follow-up blood pressure (BP) after stroke as a time-dependent covariate with risk subsequent ischemic stroke, well those BP levels difference in impact long-term clopidogrel or aspirin monotherapy versus additional cilostazol medication on secondary prevention. In sub-analysis randomized controlled trial (CSPS.com), patients between 8 and 180 days onset were randomly assigned to receive alone, combination clopidogrel. The percent changes,...

Platelet-derived microparticle (PDMP) levels were measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to elucidate the role of platelet activation in patients with polymyositis or dermatomyositis (PM/DM). PDMP active PM/DM (median 13.3 U/ml, interquartile range 9.9-20.7 n = 16) and those undergoing treatment (12.1 7.4-16.7 12) significantly higher than controls (6.5 5.0-8.4 26, vs. active, P 0.0001; treatment, 0.004). Abstract A 67‐year‐old man was admitted with a 2‐year history of dropped head. Neurological examination revealed ptosis, dysarthria, neck weakness, hyporeflexia all limbs, and autonomic failure. Electrophysiologic study showed 400% increment response to high‐rate repetitive nerve stimulation. Serum anti‐P/Q‐voltage‐gated calcium channel antibody positive, confirming the diagnosis Lambert–Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS). His symptoms electrophysiological abnormalities improved oral...

Objective Post-stroke cognitive impairment often afflicts stroke survivors and is a major obstacle both for physical rehabilitation. Stroke risk scores ["Congestive heart failure, Hypertension, Age ≥75 years, Diabetes mellitus, Stroke" (CHADS2) "CHADS2 + creatinine clearance <60 mL/min" (R2CHADS2)] are used to assess the future of cardioembolic in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF).
