Many models of physics beyond the Standard Model predict existence new Abelian forces with gauge bosons mediating interactions between "dark sectors" and Model. We report a search for dark boson Z' coupling only to second third generations leptons in reaction e+e- -> mu+mu- Z', using 514 fb-1 data collected by BABAR experiment. No significant signal is observed masses range 0.212 - 10 GeV. Limits on parameter g' as low 7x10^-4 are derived, leading improvements bounds compared those...
The T2K experiment studies oscillations of an off-axis muon neutrino beam between the J-PARC accelerator complex and Super-Kamiokande detector. Special emphasis is placed on measuring mixing angle theta_13 by observing electron appearance via sub-dominant to oscillation, searching for CP violation in lepton sector. includes a sophisticated, off-axis, near detector, ND280, situated 280 m downstream production target order measure properties understand better interactions at energy scale below...
A dedicated measurement of additional radiation in e+e−→μ+μ−γ and e+e−→π+π−γ initial-state-radiation events is presented using the full BABAR data sample. For first time results are at next-to- next-to-next-to-leading order, with one two photons, respectively, for from initial final states. Comparison predictions phokhara afkqed Monte Carlo generators performed, revealing discrepancies one-photon rates angular distributions former. This disagreement has a negligible effect on e+e−→π+π−(γ)...
This article presents a model-independent search for an additional, mostly sterile, heavy neutral lepton (HNL), that is capable of mixing with the Standard Model $\ensuremath{\tau}$ neutrino strength $|{U}_{\ensuremath{\tau}4}{|}^{2}$, corresponding to absolute square extended Pontecorvo-Maki-Nakagawa-Sakata matrix element. Data from BABAR experiment, total integrated luminosity $424\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$, are analyzed using kinematic approach makes no assumptions...
We study the processes ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\ensuremath{\gamma}$, ${K}_{S}^{0}{K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{\mp}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\ensuremath{\gamma}$, and...
A new mechanism has been proposed to simultaneously explain the presence of dark matter and matter-antimatter asymmetry in universe. This scenario predicts exotic $B$ meson decays into a baryon sector anti-baryon ($\psi_D$) with branching fractions accessible at factories. We present search for $B \rightarrow \Lambda \psi_D$ using data collected by $BABAR$ experiment SLAC. reaction is identified fully reconstructing accompanying requiring single $\Lambda$ remaining particles. No significant...
We perform the first measurement on ${D}^{0}\ensuremath{-}{\overline{D}}^{0}$ mixing parameters using a time-dependent amplitude analysis of decay ${D}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$. The data were recorded with BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies and near $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance, correspond to an integrated luminosity approximately $468.1\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$. neutral...
Oscillation probability calculations are becoming increasingly CPU intensive in modern neutrino oscillation analyses. The independency of reweighting individual events a Monte Carlo sample lends itself to parallel implementation on Graphics Processing Unit. library "Prob3++" was ported the GPU using CUDA C API, allowing for large scale parallelized probabilities through matter constant density, decreasing execution time by factor 75, when compared performance single CPU.
Using a sample of (470.9 +- 2.8) x 10^6 BB-bar pairs, we measure the decay branching fraction B(B^0 -> D^*- pi^+ pi^- pi^+) = (7.26 0.11 0.31) 10^-3, where first uncertainty is statistical and second systematic. Our measurement will be helpful in studies lepton universality by measuring tau^+ nu_tau) using nu-bar_tau decays, normalized to pi^+.
A new dark sector antibaryon, denoted ψD, could be produced in decays of B mesons. This Letter presents a search for B+→ψD+p (and the charge conjugate) e+e− annihilations at 10.58 GeV, using data collected BABAR experiment. Data corresponding to an integrated luminosity 398 fb−1 are analyzed. No evidence signal is observed. Branching fraction upper limits range from 10−7–10−5 obtained 90% confidence level masses 1.0<mψD<4.3 GeV/c2. The result also reinterpreted provide first on...
The TITUS, Tokai Intermediate Tank for Unoscillated Spectrum, detector, is a proposed Gd-doped Water Cherenkov tank with magnetised muon range detector downstream. It located at J-PARC about 2 km from the neutrino target and it as potential near Hyper-Kamiokande experiment. Assuming beam power of 1.3 MW 27.05 x 10^{21} protons-on-target sensitivity to CP mixing parameters achieved by TITUS presented. Also, cross sections Standard Model parameter determination, supernova dark matter are shown.

We present a new technique, ``tau polarimetry,'' for measuring the longitudinal beam polarization in an ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider through analysis of ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ events. By exploiting sensitivity $\ensuremath{\tau}$ decay kinematics to beams, we demonstrate that can be measured with 3 per mil systematic uncertainty at interaction point using technique is independent spin and...
We measure the mass difference, Δm_{+}, between D^{*}(2010)^{+} and D^{+} using decay chain D^{*}(2010)^{+}→D^{+}π^{0} with D^{+}→K^{-}π^{+}π^{+}. The data were recorded BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies near ϒ(4S) resonance, correspond to an integrated luminosity of approximately 468 fb^{-1}. Δm_{+}=(140 601.0±6.8[stat]±12.9[syst]) keV. combine this result a previous measurement Δm_{0}≡m(D^{*}(2010)^{+})-m(D^{0}) obtain Δm_{D}=m(D^{+})-m(D^{0})=(4824.9±6.8[stat]±12.9[syst]) These...
Using the entire BaBar $Υ(4S)$ data set, first two-dimensional unbinned angular analysis of semileptonic decay $\overline{B} \rightarrow D \ell^- \overlineν_\ell$ is performed, employing hadronic reconstruction tag-side $B$ meson from $Υ(4S)\to B\overline{B}$. Here, $\ell$ denotes light charged leptons $e$ and $μ$. A novel data-driven signal-background separation procedure with minimal dependence on simulation developed. This preserves all multi-dimensional correlations present in data. The...
