Abstract A nationwide tuberculosis outbreak linked to a viable bone allograft product contaminated with Mycobacterium was identified in June 2021. This study addresses the development of a modified early warning system (MEWS) to predict hospital admissions from emergency departments (EDs) using 2010 National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NHAMCS).
