The loss of microRNA-122 (miR-122) expression correlates to many characteristic properties hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells, including clonogenic survival, anchorage-independent growth, migration, invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and tumorigenesis. However, all these findings do not sufficiently explain the oncogenic potential miR-122. In current study, we used two-dimensional differential in-gel electrophoresis measure changes in thousands proteins response inhibition...

Abstract KRAS is mutated in most pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas (PDAC) and yet remains undruggable. Here, we report that p38γ MAPK, which promotes PDAC tumorigenesis by linking signaling aerobic glycolysis (also called the Warburg effect), a novel therapeutic target. interacted with glycolytic activator PFKFB3 was dependent on KRAS. transformation overexpression of increased expression glucose transporter GLUT2, conversely, silencing mutant KRAS, decreased GLUT2 expression. phosphorylated...

Vitiligo is an acquired autoimmune skin disorder, clinically characterized by distinct white macules and patches resulting from progressive melanocyte destruction. JAK-STAT pathway plays important role in the loss of epidermal melanocytes. Baricitinib can block downstream chemokines as a new JAK1/2 inhibitor. In this report, we describe successful treatment 2 patients with oral baricitinib combined NB-UVB phototherapy, which provides good alternative supplementary to treat refractory vitiligo.

Apoptosis signal–regulating kinase 1 (ASK1) is activated by various stresses. The link between ASK1 activation and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, two causal events in diabetic embryopathy, has not been determined. We sought to investigate whether involved the unfolded protein response (UPR) that leads ER stress. Deleting Ask1 abrogated diabetes-induced UPR suppressing phosphorylation of inositol-requiring enzyme 1α (IRE1α), double-stranded RNA-activated (PKR)-like (PERK) blocked...

Methods A total of 148 NSCLC who underwent immunochemotherapy two centers (SRRSH ZCH) were retrospectively included. The SRRSH dataset (n=105) was used as training internal validation cohort.
