ABSTRACT Aging is often perceived as a degenerative process resulting from random accrual of cellular damage over time. Despite this, age can be accurately estimated by epigenetic clocks based on DNA methylation profiles almost any tissue the body. Since such pan-tissue have been successfully developed for several different species, we hypothesized that one build pan-mammalian measure in all mammalian species. To address generated data using 11,754 arrays, each profiling up to 36 thousand...

Central conducting lymphatic anomaly (CCLA), characterized by the dysfunction of core collecting vessels including thoracic duct and cisterna chyli, presenting as chylothorax, pleural effusions, chylous ascites, lymphedema, is a severe disorder often resulting in fetal or perinatal demise. Although pathogenic variants RAS/mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway components have been documented some patients with CCLA, genetic etiology remains uncharacterized most cases....

Abstract Maximum lifespan of a species is the oldest that individuals can survive, reflecting genetic limit longevity in an ideal environment. Here we report methylation-based models accurately predict maximum (r=0.89), gestational time (r=0.96), and age at sexual maturity (r=0.87), using cytosine methylation patterns collected from over 12,000 samples derived 192 mammalian species. Our epigenetic predictor corroborated extended growth hormone receptor knockout mice rapamycin treated mice....

Disorganized morphogenesis of arteries, veins, capillaries, and lymphatic vessels results in vascular malformations. Most individuals with isolated malformations have postzygotic (mosaic), activating pathogenic variants a handful oncogenes within the PI3K–RAS–MAPK pathway (Padia et al., Laryngoscope Investig Otolaryngol 4: 170–173 [2019]). Activating gene PIK3CA , which encodes for catalytic subunit phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, are present both venous as well arteriovenous other complex...

The lymphatic system plays an integral part in fluid homeostasis. Disturbances pathways are congenital, posttraumatic, or posttreatment related, such as after Fontan palliation. Lymphatic pathway evaluation is challenging because of the difficulty introducing contrast material into lymphatics. Intranodal, intramesenteric, and intrahepatic dynamic contrast-enhanced MR lymphangiography (DCMRL) offer better visualization major pathways. However, these techniques exclude outside central...
