The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak is evolving rapidly worldwide. However, little known about the association between pregnant women with COVID-19 and risk of adverse birth outcomes. We conducted a retrospective cohort study based on Maternal Child Health Information System (MCHIMS) Wuhan, China. All singleton live recorded by system January 13 March 18, 2020, were included. outcomes preterm birth, low weight, neonatal asphyxia, premature rupture membrane (PROM), cesarean...

Abstract This study investigated the effects of progesterone (P4) on production and survival neurons in hippocampal dentate gyrus adult male mice. The administration P4 (4 mg/kg) for 3 consecutive days beginning 0–2nd day after first BrdU‐injection (BrdU‐D 0–2 ) produced an approximately twofold increase number 28‐ 56‐day‐old BrdU + cells comparison to controls, whereas it did not alter 24/48‐h‐old cells. preferentially promoted newborn when administered at BrdU‐D 5–7 , but 10–12 15–17 ....

Abstract Objective: We previously mapped a genetic locus for restless legs syndrome (RLS) to chromosome 9p22‐24 ( RLS3 ) and later genome‐wide association study (GWAS) implicated the PTPRD gene at l ocus as susceptibility RLS. However, from standpoint of genetics, GWAS needs be validated by independent studies. In this study, we used both family‐based population‐based studies assess between RLS in an American Caucasian population. Methods: genotyped two intronic SNPs rs1975197 rs4626664 144...

Intimate partner violence (IPV) among pregnant women constitutes a global public health problem and potential risk factor for adverse maternal fetal outcomes. The present study aimed to examine the associations IPV during pregnancy, prenatal depression, birth outcomes in Wuhan, China. A cross-sectional was performed from April 2013 March 2014 Sociodemographic characteristics, depressive symptoms pregnancy were assessed third trimester of pregnancy. Birth collected after delivery using...

Neutrophil elastase (NE) is a neutrophil‑derived serine proteinase with specificity for broad range of substrates. NE has been reported to be associated the pathogenesis several conditions, particularly that pulmonary diseases. Previous studies have shown can cleave pro‑myelocyte ‑ retinoic acid receptor‑alpha chimeric protein and important development acute pro‑myelocytic leukemia. To further elucidate role in leukemia, present study successfully constructed lentiviral vector containing...

BCR::ABL1-like or Philadelphia chromosome-like (Ph-like) acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) was first reported in 2009. Ph-like ALL is characterized by gene signature similar to chromosome ALL, but without BCR::ABL1 fusions. Molecularly, divided into seven categories, with CRLF2 and ABL-class rearrangements being the two most common subtypes, exhibiting alterations distinct downstream signaling cascades.

Abstract Background China had the second largest proportion of preterm birth (PTB) internationally. However, only 11% pregnant women in meet international guidelines for maternal physical activity, a significantly lower than that Western countries. This study aims to examine association between outdoor exercise during pregnancy and PTB among Chinese Wuhan, China. Methods A case-control was conducted 6656 (2393 cases 4263 controls) from June 2011 2013. Self-reported measures (frequency per...

Abstract Understanding tourist perceptions and the relationship between landscape features emotional attitudes in traditional village is crucial for sustainable development. However, quantifying these over vast spatiotemporal scales challenging. Additionally, there a paucity of knowledge on which influence within varied samples spatial scale. In this study, we analyzed 39,130 online reviews 57 Chinese villages from 2018 to 2023. Utilizing Word2Vec machine learning techniques, identified 14...

We have completed a genome-wide linkage scan for HDL-C in US cohort consisting 388 multiplex families with premature CAD (GeneQuest).
