We demonstrate circular dichroism (CD) in the second harmonic generation (SHG) signal from chiral assemblies of G-shaped nanostructures made gold. The arrangement G shapes is crucial since upon reordering them SHG-CD effect disappears. Microscopy reveals SHG "hotspots" assemblies, which originate enantiomerically sensitive plasmon modes, having novel property exhibiting a geometry themselves relation with handedness material. These results open new frontiers studying chirality.

Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) is a versatile tool for determining diffusion and interaction/binding properties in biological material sciences. An understanding of the mechanisms controlling requires deep structure-interaction-diffusion relationships. In cell biology, instance, this applies to movement proteins lipids plasma membrane, cytoplasm nucleus. industrial applications related pharmaceutics, foods, textiles, hygiene products cosmetics, solutes solvent molecules...

Abstract A visible‐light‐excitable, ratiometric, brightly fluorescent pH indicator for measurements in the range 5–7 has been designed and synthesized by conjugatively linking BODIPY fluorophore at 3‐position to pH‐sensitive ligand imidazole through an ethenyl bridge. The heterogeneity in composition and interaction within the cellular membrane translates into a wide range of diffusion coefficients its constituents. Therefore, several complementary microfluorimetric techniques such as fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) single-particle tracking (SPT) have to be applied explore dynamics components. recently introduced raster image (RICS) offers much wider dynamic than each these methods separately allows for...

In optics, chirality is typically associated with circularly polarized light. Here we present a novel way to detect the handedness of chiral materials linearly We performed Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) microscopy on G-shaped planar nanostructures made gold. The SHG response originates in distinctive hotspots, whose arrangement dependent handedness. These results uncover new directions for studying artificial materials.
