Melatonin (Mel) has neuroprotective effects; however, its roles in hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD) and the underlying mechanisms remain unknown. We aimed to explore a HIBD rat model. found that exogenous Mel treatment ameliorated HIBD-induced pathological changes, inhibited neuronal ferroptosis, promoted hippocampal survival. Moreover, improved learning memory abilities of rats. Further, we glutathione peroxidase 4 (Gpx4) inhibition with RSL3, Akt LY29400, nuclear factor...

Affecting 2-4% of pregnancies, pre-eclampsia is a leading cause maternal death and morbidity worldwide. Using routinely available data, we aimed to develop validate novel machine learning-based clinical setting-responsive time-of-disease model rule out in adverse outcomes women presenting with pre-eclampsia.

Preeclampsia (PE) is a common obstetrical disorder characterized by hypertension and proteinuria. The aberrant expression of miR-221-3p in placental tissues has been implicated the pathogenesis PE. This study examined role trophoblast growth, invasion migration, explored underlying mechanisms. Our results showed that was down-regulated from PE patients compared to heathy controls as measured quantitative real-time PCR assay. CCK-8 assay, Transwell assay wound healing overexpression promoted...

Human amnion-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) have been reported as a promising effective treatment to repair tissue. Trophoblast dysfunction during pregnancy is significantly involved in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia (PE). To understand how AD-MSCs regulated trophoblast function, we treated trophoblasts with AD-MSC-derived exosomes under hypoxic conditions. The markedly enhanced proliferation and autophagy. Furthermore, significant decrease EZH2 levels inactivation mTOR signaling...

In the current paper, three activity-based colorimetric and ratiometric fluorescent probes based on a naphthalimide fluorophore were well designed synthesized, which can be recognized hydrolyzed by aminopeptidase N (APN) at both enzymatic cellular level following emission wavelength change from blue to green light. As result, these molecules successfully identified as first for APN cell imaging.
