Abstract Circular RNAs (circRNAs) were shown to play an important role in the occurrence and progression of tumors. However, functions nuclear genome-derived circRNAs localized mitochondria tumor cells remain largely elusive. Here, we report that circPUM1, a circular RNA derived from back-splicing pre-mRNAs genome PUM1, localizes mitochondria. The expression level circPUM1 is positively correlated with HIF1α accumulation under CoCl 2 -induced intracellular hypoxic-like condition esophageal...

Infertility is a common complication in diabetic men, mainly due to the loss of germ cells by apoptotic cell death. However, effective and safe approaches prevent induction testicular apoptosis for patients have not been available. Resveratrol (RSV), group compounds called polyphenols from plants, has indicated its promising used clinically cancers cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, present study aimed determining whether RSV attenuates type 1 diabetes (T1D)-induced death mouse model. We...

The distinction between mild pathogenic mtDNA mutations and population polymorphisms can be ambiguous because both are homoplasmic, alter conserved functions, correlate with disease. One possible explanation for this ambiguity is that the same variant may have different consequences in contexts. NADH dehydrogenase subunit 1 (ND1) nucleotide 3394 T > C (Y30H) such a case. Acute lung injury (ALI) is a devastating disease, which characterized by diffuse endothelium, epithelial damage, and increased pulmonary capillary permeability. Recent data have suggested that the circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) play an important role in repair after vascular injury. This study was undertaken to investigate possible endothelial-repairing effects of EPC transplantation LPS-induced ALI rats. Using Y-chromosome situ hybridization reverse transcription polymerase...

An advanced iterative algorithm is presented to extract phase distribution from randomly and spatially nonuniform phase-shifted interferograms. The proposed divides the interferograms into small blocks retrieves local shifts accurately by iterations. Therefore, can be calculated with high precision eliminating effect of tilts occurring during shifting. Simulated results experiments demonstrate that exhibits converges faster than previous algorithms even when tilt errors are up 27.6% normal step.

An advanced spatial carrier phase-shifting (SCPS) algorithm based on least-squares iteration is proposed to extract the phase distribution from a single interferogram. The divides interferogram into four phase-shifted interferograms. By compensating for effects of variations shifts between pixels and background contrast, determines local simultaneously accurately. Numerical simulations show that accuracy obviously improved by contrast variations. peak valley residual error remains less than...
