Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 not yet has established its treatment, but convalescent plasma been expected to increase survival rates as in the case with other emerging viral infections. We describe two cases of COVID-19 treated infusion. Both patients presented pneumonia distress and showed a favorable outcome after use addition systemic corticosteroid. To our knowledge, this is first report therapy for Korea.

Abstract Introduction A potential independent association was recently demonstrated between high red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and the risk of all-cause mortality in critically ill patients, although mechanism underlying this relationship remains unclear. Little is known about impact changes RDW may have on survival patients. Therefore, we investigated prognostic significance during hospital stay patients with severe sepsis or septic shock. Methods We prospectively enrolled 329 who...

Sepsis, including severe sepsis and septic shock, is a major cause of morbidity mortality. Albumin C-reactive protein (CRP) are considered as good diagnostic markers for sepsis. Thus, initial CRP albumin levels were combined to ascertain their value an independent predictor 180-day mortality in patients with shock. We conducted retrospective cohort study involving 670 (>18 years old) who admitted the emergency department had received standardized resuscitation algorithm (early goal-directed...

Therefore, we investigated whether an independent Clinical characteristics, laboratory parameters, outcomes 161 bacteremia from November 2010 March 2011 diagnosed at...

Leishmania protozoan parasites (Trypanosomatidae family) are the causative agents of cutaneous, mucocutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis worldwide. While these diseases associated with significant morbidity mortality, there few adequate treatments available. Sterol 14alpha-demethylase (CYP51) in parasite sterol biosynthesis pathway has been focus considerable interest as a novel drug target Leishmania. However, its essentiality donovani yet to be determined. Here, we use dual biological...

However, few studies have been performed to resolve poor issue when sizes significantly differ.
