Health-care workers are thought to be highly exposed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. We aimed investigate the prevalence of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in health-care and proportion seroconverted with previous symptoms COVID-19.In this observational cohort study, screening was offered Capital Region Denmark, including medical, nursing, other students who were associated hospitals region. Screening included point-of-care tests for IgM IgG SARS-CoV-2....

SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern have continuously evolved and may erode vaccine induced immunity. In this observational cohort study, we determine the risk breakthrough infection in a fully vaccinated cohort. anti-spike IgG levels were measured before first vaccination at day 21-28, 90 180, as well after booster vaccination. Breakthrough infections captured through Danish National Microbiology database. incidence rate ratio (IRR) for time-updated was determined using Poisson regression. Among...

Abstract Background No overall estimate of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)-associated hospitalizations in children aged under 5 years has been published for the European Union (EU). We aimed to RSV hospitalization burden EU countries and Norway, by age group. Methods collated national RSV-associated estimates calculated using linear regression models via RESCEU project Denmark, England, Finland, Netherlands, Scotland, 2006–2018. Additional were obtained from a systematic review. Using...

Abstract Background Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of lower respiratory tract infections in adults that can result hospitalizations. Estimating RSV-associated hospitalization critical for planning RSV-related healthcare across Europe. Methods We gathered estimates from the RSV Consortium Europe (RESCEU) Denmark, England, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, and Scotland 2006 to 2017. extrapolated these 28 European Union (EU) countries using nearest-neighbor matching, multiple...

A new rotavirus vaccine may be licensed in the United States early 2006. Estimates of burden severe disease, particularly hospitalizations, will help evaluate potential benefits a national immunization program. The Kids' Inpatient Database, robust sample 10% uncomplicated births and 80% other pediatric discharges was used to estimate number rate diarrhea- rotavirus-associated hospitalizations among US children <5 years age 1997 2000.In 2000, diarrhea coded 13% all childhood for an estimated...
